Tour Overview
A scenic ride from San Francisco to Muir Woods with 90 minutes to explore the redwoods at your own pace. Since the park doesn’t allow guided groups on the trails, your driver-guide covers the history and trail options before you head in.
After Muir Woods, choose your return: ride back to San Francisco with us, or get dropped off in Sausalito to explore on your own and return later by ferry or Uber.
Your trip
Time in the redwoods
You get 90 minutes in the park, at your own pace.
Enough to walk the trails, sit down, and hear the place go quiet.
Small-group transportation
Fourteen seats. Boarding is quick, the day stays unhurried, and the van stays quiet enough for conversation: a comfortable ride and a guide who can hear your questions.
Sausalito without the rush
Make Sausalito your choice. After the redwoods, ride back to the Wharf with us, or hop off in Sausalito and stay as long as you like. Grab lunch, explore the waterfront, then make your own way back when you are ready. The Golden Gate Ferry crosses from Sausalito to the San Francisco Ferry Building, where the food is worth the walk, and rideshare runs all day.

Know before you go
Is Muir Woods admission included?
No. Park admission is $15 per person aged 16 and over, paid directly at the park.
Children 15 and under enter free, and National Parks pass holders are already covered.
We keep the entrance fee separate so you only pay it if you need to, and we never mark it up.
How much walking is involved?
Less than you’d think. The main loop is a flat boardwalk, about a mile, and you can turn back at any point. The Hillside Trail adds roughly 200 feet of climb if you want it.
Does a guide walk the trails with us?
No. The park doesn’t permit guided groups on the trails. Your driver-guide briefs you on the routes and the history before you head in, and the park’s own interpretive signs fill in the rest.
What if it rains?
We run rain or shine. The canopy keeps most of it off you, and a wet day in the redwoods is one of the best days in the redwoods. Bring a light rain layer.
What should I wear?
Layers and comfortable shoes. The canyon stays cool and damp even when the city is warm.
Is this tour good for children?
Yes. The main trail is stroller-friendly and kids tend to love spotting wildlife along the creek.
What's the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure.
Can I be dropped off in Sausalito?
Yes. Tell your driver-guide and we will drop you on the Sausalito waterfront instead of returning to San Francisco. You make your own way back from there, on your own schedule and at your own cost, by Golden Gate Ferry to the San Francisco Ferry Building or by rideshare.
“We got to the end of the loop and nobody wanted to get back in the van.”
